Early morning blaze on Wickham Avenue in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWSFirefighters put out an early morning blaze on Wickham Avenue Sunday that left no one hurt. The department credited a smoke detector with working batteries in helping to assist with evacuation of the strucure, which included one female adult and 10 children.
